White House Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Images Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have published a additional set of what they described as "disturbing" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—plus another 70 released later on Friday constitute a minuscule portion of the nearly 100,000 images handed over to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking crimes.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Featured among the notable figures seen in the opening set are public figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of selectively "choosing" the photographs for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative remarked, insisting that "the current government has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding disclosure, disclosing thousands of pages of papers, and calling for additional probes into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were published without context, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with the rich and powerful.
"It is time to end this White House obfuscation and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a statement.
The release of these materials comes as the House panel proceeding with its inquiry into the Epstein matter.
