The head of the Justice Department, the Attorney General, accepted Habba's resignation on the start of the week. She commented that the appeals court finding made it "untenable" for Habba to effectively run her office.
"Let no one confuse adherence to the ruling as defeat," she declared. "This battle will now stretch across America."
