LA Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an translator.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and Ice Cube driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.
Early Celebrations and Athlete Responses
Festivities started well before the parade, with supporters lighting flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke plainly about the win.

Mixed Reactions and Community Spirit
In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the rally. Video footage from the gathering seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.
The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
