Ex- Doctor Charged with Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with performing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
List of Offences
The charging documents said the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
